Brewers Hit Road

The Brewers open up a ten game road trip in Cincinnati tonight.   The Crew went just 3-6 on their recent 9 game homestand.  Yovani Gallardo gets the start for Milwaukee. Coverage begins at 5:35pm on KFIZ.

Packers

The Packers open up a three day rookie orientation mini-camp today.  The draft picks, undrafted free agents and selected younger players will attend the workouts. 

 

Woodson Looking For Work

Former Packers DB Charles Woodson is still unsigned after being cut by the Packers last winter.  Woodson told the NFL Network that he hasn’t heard from the Packers or many other teams since he’s been on the market.  At first his desire was to sign with a contender.  Now he’s open to signing with any team, even one rebuilding. 

 

Bucks Interview Candidates

The Milwaukee Bucks have interviewed Nate McMillian and Kelvin Sampson for their vacant head coaching job according to CBS Sports.  CBS also reports that Bucks forward Larry Sanders and guard Monta Ellis nearly came to blows after Game 3 of the playoffs.  The report says Sanders was upset at Ellis seemingly worrying about where he will play next year rather than the Bucks playoff series.

Roberto Castro fired a course record tying 9-under par 63 to hold a three shot lead after one round of The Players Championship.  Rory McIlroy and Zach Johnson are at -6.  Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker are among a large group of players at -5. Madison native Jerry Kelly is tied for 54th at -1.
