The Brewers mustered only 2
hits in a 10-1 loss to the Braves on Thursday night.  The wheels fell off in the 7th
when Atlanta
scored 7 runs.  Reliever Will Smith was
also ejected from the game for having a foreign substance on his arm.  It was another tough night for Matt Garza who
gave up 4 runs and 5 hits in 6 and a third innings of work.  Game 2 of the series is tonight as Wily
Peralta takes on Alex Wood.  Coverage

Conference Finals on Thursday night. 
James Harden had 38 for the Rockets. 
Game 3 of the series is Saturday in Houston.  The Eastern Conference Finals continue tonight
as Cleveland takes a 1-0 series lead into Game 2
in Atlanta.

 

Anaheim took a 2-1 series lead after a 2-1 win over Chicago in the NHL’s
Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night. 
Game 4 is Saturday night in Chicago.
  Tampa Bay
hosts the New York Rangers tonight in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference
Finals.  The Lightning lead that series

team’s season opener against Alabama at Texas Stadium on September 3rd

The Packers signed 3rd
round draft pick Ty Montgomery.  He’s a
WR out of Stanford. They also inked free agent cornerback Travis Manning to out
of Northwest Missouri State
to a deal.

 

Marian University third baseman Tony Grannis has been named to the NCAA
Division III All-Midwest Region 2nd Team.  The Madison
native led the NACC in batting average at .420

 

The Winnebago Lutheran
baseball team scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 7th to beat
St. Mary’s Springs 2-1 and grab a share of the Flyway Conference title.

 

Matt Luedtke gave up just one
hit and struck out 16 as Lomira blanked North Fond du Lac
4-0 in high school baseball.

 

Appleton West scored 8 runs
in the bottom of the 7th to steal a 10-9 win over Fond du Lac
