NBA Playoffs

The Spurs routed
the Thunders 117-89 to take a 3 games to 2 lead in the NBA’s Western Conference
Finals.  Tim Duncan had 22 points and 12
rebounds.  It’s Game 6 of the Eastern
Conference Finals tonight as Miami hosts Indiana.  The Heat lead the best of seven series
3-2. 

 

The Milwaukee
Bucks will play a regular season game in London
next season.  The NBA announced the Bucks
will play the New York Knicks in London
on January 15th.  The Houston
Rockets will also play Minnesota in November
in Mexico City.  The NBA will also play preseason games in Brazil, Germany,
China, and Turkey.

 

It looks like
the LA Clippers will be sold to former Microsoft chief executive officer Steve
Ballmer for a record $2 billion dollars. Reports say that the trust for Donald
Sterling had the papers for the sales signed by his wife late last night. 

 

NHL

The New York
Rangers are back in the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1994 after
picking up a 1-0 win over Montreal
on Thursday.  The Rangers win the series
4-2. The Los Angeles Kings have another opportunity to win the Western
Conference as they host Chicago
tonight on the ice.  The Kings lead the
best of seven series 3-2.

Fond du Lac’s Kenan Saleh
earned a trip to the WIAA State Tennis Tournament with a 4th place
finish at the Neenah Sectional on Thursday in #1 singles.  Felix Cloutier and Matt Tentler finished 2nd
at #3 and #4 singles to fall just short of a state bid.  The doubles team of Stuart Nett and Matt
Riley got upset in their first round match in #1 doubles.  They could still get one of 8 at large spots
awarded by WIAA. Those will be announced by Saturday.
