The St. Mary’s Springs football team heads to Middleton on
Saturday for a Division Six State Semifinal against Darlington.  The Ledgers currently have a 39 game win
streak, which is the 9th longest streak in the nation and a win
gives them 40 in a row and also would earn head coach Bob Hyland his 400th
career victory.  Coach Hyland has the
most wins by a coach in state history. 
You will hear the game on K107.1 with the Backyard Grill Pregame at
12:05pm and the kickoff set for 1pm presented by BCI Burke Company.

 

Three of the four Division Two football semifinalists are
from the FVA.  Kimberly will play
Waukesha West tonight at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh
while Oshkosh North and Menasha will play at Ashwaubenon. 

 

Fond du Lac
put a pair of runners on the girls All-FVA Cross Country Team.  Junior Megan Buechel and sophomore Annie
Moore were named to the 1st team. 
In girls tennis, Fondy’s Maddie Bahr was Honorable Mention All-FVA at #1
Singles.  In girls swimming and diving,
Junior Courtney Stubbe was Honorable Mention all league in the 100
Freestyle. 

 

The Badger football team is gearing up for Indiana on Saturday morning at Camp Randall
Stadium.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 9am with the kickoff set
for 11am. You can preview Saturday’s game during The Gary Andersen Show tonight

Melvin Gordon has been named a finalist for the Doak Walker Award which is
given to the top running back annually in college football. 

 

The Packers travel to New
York
for a matchup with the Giants on Sunday.  The kickoff time has been moved out of
primetime to 3:25pm.  That mean’s pregame
coverage begins at 1pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ and kfiz.com.

for the 2nd straight season.  Pittsburgh’s Andrew
McCutchen won the National League MVP.  
The Brewers Carlos Gomez was 9th in the NL balloting.
