St. Mary’s Springs continues to get ready for their WIAA Division 6 State Semifinal against Iowa-Grant on Saturday at Middleton. St. Mary’s Springs is 11-0 on the season while Iowa-Grant is 9-2 and finished 2nd in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference.  You’ll hear the game on KFIZ and streaming at KFIZ.com.  Coverage begins at 4:05pm.

Marquette Hoops

The Marquette Golden Eagles men’s basketball team tips off their season tonight as they play #4 Ohio State on an aircraft carrier off the coast of South Carolina. The tip is set for 6pm, central.

 

Bucks On Road

The Bucks try and bounce back from Wednesday’s ugly loss to Memphis as they head to Washington, DC tonight for a matchup with the Wizards.  Coverage begins at 5:40pm on KFIZ.

 

Braun Earns Silver Slugger

Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun was named the 2012 Silver Slugger Award winner for having the best across the board offensive numbers in the National League at his position.  Braun hit .319 with 41 homers and 112 RBI.  He scored 108 runs and 191 total hits.   It’s the 5th straight year he won the award.  3rd baseman Aramis Ramirez won the award last season with the Cubs, but despite a solid year, the Padres Chase Headley took the honor in the NL.

 

Badger Football

Curt Phillips is expected to get the start on Saturday as the Wisconsin football team travels to Indiana.  A win by Wisconsin will clinch a spot representing the Big Ten Leaders Division in the Big Ten Championship Game on December 1st with Ohio State and Penn State ineligible. Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 11am with pregame coverage set for 9am on KFIZ.  With Badger football on early, you will be able to hear the Jerry Schneider Show Sunday at 3:30pm on KFIZ.
