The New York Mets are headed
to the National League Championship Series after a 3-2 win over the LA Dodgers
last night.  Daniel Murphy’s solo homer
in the 6th was the game winner. 
The Mets will host the Chicago Cubs in Game One of the NLCS on Saturday
night.

 

The American League
Championship Series gets going tonight as Kansas City
hosts Toronto.  The 1st pitch is set for 7:07pm
central.

The Fond du Lac High School
girls doubles tennis team of Annie Hierl and Maddie Bahr saw their season come
to an end on Thursday, falling to 9th seeded Mary Zakowski and
Claire Rotherham of Green Bay Notre Dame 6-3, 6-4.  The Fondy seniors’ season ends with a 21-8
record.

The North Fond du
Lac/Oakfield Girl’s Cross country team won the first conference championship in
school history.  Faith Peebles led the
way with an 8th place finish. She was followed by Savana Strean-9th; Linda
Lopez-10th; Leah Forsythe-11th; and Sierra Conger-15th.  The boys’ team finished 5th. Abe Giebel led
the way in 14th. Followed by Noah Giebel-15th; Brandon Anderson-17th; Jared Bavers-21st.  All of the results can be found here:

The Fond
du Lac
high school football team can complete their first unbeaten
regular season since 2001 when they travel to Marshfield tonight.  Fondy is 7-0 in league play and 8-0
overall.  The Tigers are 3-5 on the
season and 2-5 in VFA-South play. 
Coverage begins at 5:30pm tonight with the Tim Cruz Agency American
Family Insurance Pregame Show.  The
kickoff is set for 7pm.
