The Brewers edged the
Marlins 4-2 last night at Miller
Park
.  The story of this game came in the 5th
inning when Brewers starter Mike Fiers hits Miami slugger Giancarlo Stanton in the face
with a fast ball.  The MVP candidate
ended up being taken off the field in an ambulance with multiple facial
injuries. A shaken Fiers on the next pitch hit Reed Johnson and the benches
cleared. A shaken Fiers finished the inning but did not come out for the 6th   The
Brewers move on to a series with the Reds tonight.  

 

Milwaukee stays 1.5 games behind Pittsburgh in the race for the final Wild
Card spot in the N.L. after they picked up a 4-1 win over the Phillies.  The Crew inched to within 4 games of St. Louis after the
Cardinals were blanked 1- by the Reds.

 

Packers running back Eddie
Lacy was a full participant at practice and Thursday and has been cleared to
play Sunday against the New York Jets at Lambeau.  Brian Bulaga was a limited participant.  His status is still up in the air. Sunday’s
kickoff is set for 3:25pm.  Coverage
