There are a
couple of huge high school football games in the city tonight.  
The 3rd
ranked
Fond du Lac
football teams hosts Oshkosh North for Homecoming.  They are tied up top of the VFA South with
3-0 records. In the Flyway Conference, St. Mary’s Springs ranked #1 in the AP
Small Schools Poll travels to Winnebago Lutheran  You’ll hear the Cardinals game on KFIZ with
coverage beginning at 5:30pm with the Tim Cruz Agency American Family Insurance
Kickoff Show..  Coverage of the Vikings
and Ledgers begins at 6:30pm on K107.1 presented by BCI Burke
Company.  Both games kickoff at 7pm.

 

The Brewers were
officially eliminated from the playoff race with a 5-3 loss to the Reds on Thursday
afternoon.  That loss allowed the San
Francisco Giants to game series tonight at Miller Park.  The Brewers wrap up the season with three
games against the Cubs beginning tonight at Miller Park.

 

The Pittsburgh
Pirates moved to within one game of the St. Louis Cardinals with a 10-1 over Atlanta.  The Cardinals were idle on Thursday and close
the season in Arizona.  The Pirates have a three game series in Cincinnati

 

It was a story
book ending for Derek Jeter at Yankee Stadium. 
In the future Hall of Famer’s final game in New
York
he slapped a walk-off single to give the Yankees a 6-5 win
over Baltimore.  It was just the seventh walk-off in Jeter’s
storied career.

Cross Country

Campbellsport boy’s cross country team placed 3 runners in the top
15 and finished 4th in the Horicon River Run Cross Country Meet on
Thursday.  Fifteen teams competed in the meet.  Casey Ruplinger was
the top Cougar in 5th place.  Chase Lindgren was 8th and Levi Feucht was
14th. The Campbellsport girl’s team finished 11th.  Toni Hundertmark was a
top twenty finisher in 16th place. 
Springs was first in the girls and Omro 1st for the boys
