Brewers Win

The Brewers doubled up the Mets 4-2 in New York on Thursday
night.  Scooter Gennett drove in a pair
as Alfredo Figaro picked up the win in relief of Johnny Hellweg.  Jim Henderson notched his 27th save
of the year.  The series continues
tonight.

 

Baseball Playoffs

Heading into the final three games of the regular
season, Cleveland, Tampa
Bay and Texas continue to battle for the American League
Wild Card slots.  Tampa
Bay leads Cleveland
by one game for top spot while the Indians hold a one game lead over Texas in the race for
the 2nd spot. 

 

Selig To Retire

Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig says he will retire
after next season.  His contract is up in
January of 2015 and he’ll step down after 22 years on the job.

 

Badgers

The Badgers and Ohio State
square off in a big early season Big Ten matchup on Saturday night.  Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff set
for 7pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

We’ve got a pair of high school football games this
weekend on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Tonight Fond du Lac heads to
Valley Football Association South Division leader Oshkosh North.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the Backyard
Grill Kickoff Show.  The game at JJ
Keller Field at Titan Stadium kicks off at 7pm. 
On Saturday first place is on the line at Fruth Field as St. Mary’s
Springs host Laconia
for Homecoming.  Coverage begins at
12:35pm with the kickoff set for 1pm presented by BCI Burke Company.
