Peyton Manning threw a
record tying 7 touchdown passes as the Denver Broncos stopped the Super Bowl
champion Baltimore Ravens 49-27 in the NFL opener on Thursday night.  The game was delayed 34 minutes at the start
because of lightning in the Denver
area.

 

The Packers open up the
season in San Francisco
on Sunday afternoon.  Coverage begins at 1pm
with the kickoff set for 3:25pm on KFIZ. The game also streams at kfiz.com.

 

The Badgers host Tennessee
Tech on Saturday.  You’ll hear that one
on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage begins
at 9am with the kickoff set for 11am.

 

The Brewers open up a
weekend series with the Cubs this afternoon at Wrigley Field.  Kyle Lohse gets the start for Milwaukee. Coverage

Cardinals open Valley Football Association South Division play as they travel
to Marshfield.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the Backyard

Cross Country

The
Campbellsport Cougars competed in the Winneconne Invitational cross country
meet yesterday.   The Cougar boys finished 4th out of the 11 teams
invited.  Three Campbellsport runners finished in the top 25
individually.  Sam Candee was 6th, Casey Ruplinger finished 15th, and Levi
Feucht was 24th.  The Campbellsport girls team finished 7th.  Toni
Hundertmark cracked the top 25 placing 20th.
