Jonathan Lucroy drove in three runs as the Brewers rebounded with a 9-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday night. The crew won despite a short outing by starter Chase Anderson who went four innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. Carlos Torres got the win in relief for Milwaukee, he’s 2-1. The final game of the series is tonight, 5:30 pregame, 6:05 first pitch on News/Talk 1450 KFIZ.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers mounted an impressive rally to defeat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 14-6 Wednesday night at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Wisconsin trailed Fort Wayne 5-0 after the top of the third, a four-run third and an eight-run fourth helped the Timber Rattlers take control of the game. Wisconsin had 21 hits in the contest, the first time the 20-hit milestone had been reached since 2012. Game two of that series will be played tonight in Appleton.

The Green Bay Packers have signed rookie cornerback Warren Gatewood to the 90 man roster. The 5-11 Gatewood went undrafted out of Alcorn State University and totaled 8 interceptions in his college career, including three in the SWAC championship game last season.

The Packers also announced Wednesday that their popular “Family Night” event has been sold out. Nearly 76,000 tickets were sold for the event, which is being held July 31st at Lambeau Field. It’s the 10th time in the 16 year history of the event that it has sold out.
