–Eric Gilgenbach hit his team-leading fifth home run of the year as the Dock Spiders pulled away to defeat the Mallards in Madison on Sunday afternoon. The two teams play again tonight at Herr-Baker Field, first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm.

–Travis Shaw went 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBI as the Brewers won at Yankee Stadium to take two of three from the Bronx Bombers in their interleague series to end the first half of the regular season. Catcher Stephen Vogt also homered in the win, that saw starter Jimmy Nelson allow three runs on seven hits in five innings on the mound. Nelson improves to 8-4 on the year with the win. He struck out six.

The Brewers hit the All-Star break with a 50-41 record and a 5 & ½ game lead on the Cubs in the NL Central. For comparison, the Brewers didn’t win their 50th game last year until August 12th.

The All-Star festivities begin tonight in Miami with the Home Run Derby at Marlins Park. Eight sluggers will face off in a bracketed competition for the title. First round matchups for the derby include Giancarlo Stanton of Miami vs. the Yankees Gary Sanchez, Mike Moustakas of Kansas City vs. Minnesota’s Miguel Sano, Cody Bellinger of the Dodgers vs. Charlie Blackmon of the Rockies and Aaron Judge of the Yankees vs. Justin Bour of the Marlins. The derby gets underway at 7pm.

–Rashad Vaughn scored 31 points to lead the Bucks to a win over Brooklyn in Summer League action in Las Vegas. Rookies DJ Wilson and Sterling Brown each tallied 16 in the win for Milwaukee. The Bucks face the LA Clippers tonight.

Golf: PGA Tour rookie Xander Schauffele has earned his first victory by rallying to win the Greenbrier Classic by one stroke over Robert Streb. Schauffele closed with a 3-foot birdie putt for a 3-under 67 that left him 14 under for the tournament

Katherine Kirk won the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic near Oneida, matching Ashleigh Buhai with a birdie on the final hole for a one-stroke victory. Four strokes ahead of Buhai entering the round, Kirk made a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th for a 2-under 70
