 Brewers Win

Jonathan Lucroy’s solo home run in the 10th inning beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.  The Brewers had gone 32 straight innings without scoring a run before Ryan Braun homered in the 8th.  Milwaukee scratched out another run in the 9th to force extra innings.  Brandon Kintzler picked up the win for Milwaukee.  The Brewers take today off before opening up a three game set with the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night at Miller Park.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

Wrigley Renovations

The home of the Chicago Cubs will get a $500 million dollar facelift.  The Cubs and city of Chicago made the announcement, which will include the first video replay board ever at Wrigley. 

 

Scott Wins Masters

Australian Adam Scott buried a 12-foot birdie putt on the 2nd playoff hole to beat Angela Cabrera and win The Masters.  Scott thought he won the Green Jacket on the final hole when he drained a long birdie putt to take a one-shot lead, but Cabrera also hit a birdie on the final hole to send it to the playoff. Jason Day was 3rd at -7.   Tiger Woods finished four shots off the pace while Wisconsin’s Steve Stricker finished at +1.

 

Bucks

The Bucks host Denver tonight it their final regular season home game tonight at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Coverage begins at 6:40pm on KFIZ.  The tip is set for 7:10pm

 

Packers

The Packers begins their off-season program today in Green Bay.  Head Coach Mike McCarthy says that he hasn’t been happy with his offseason the last few years and spent a great deal of time re-doing the Packers schedule.  Under the new collective bargaining agreement, the team’s offseason program is only 9 weeks compared to 12 weeks in the past.

GM1: WLA 7 Lakeside Lutheran 0 – Maustin Otterstatter threw no-hitter

GM2: WLA 4 Lakeside Lutheran 2 – Ryan Boelk 3×4

 

Girls Soccer
The Fond du Lac Soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 1-0 overtime win over Slinger on Saturday. Shelby Sabel had the game winner in OT.

 

Boys Tennis
Fond du Lac swept Oconomowoc 7-0 and Milwaukee Pius 6-1 on Saturday.  Kyle Dunn and Kenan Saleh went unbeaten in singles for Fondy.  Stuart Nett and Matt Riley went unbeaten in doubles.  The championship vs. Whitefish Bay will be rescheduled.

 

FVA All-Star Game

The North beat the South 111-101 in the Fox Valley Association All-Star Boys Basketball Game at Kaukauna on Sunday night.  Fondy’s Max Schebel led the South with 25 points.  The Cardinals Logan Wendt scored 8.
