The mending of fences
between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers will take a huge step today.  The Packers Hall of Fame will hold a press
conference at 1:30pm today where it is expected to be announced that Favre will
be inducted next summer.  It is also
expected that they will announced his #4 jersey will be retired sometime during
the 2015 season.  Favre will be eligible
for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.

The Packers held their
annual Family Night on Saturday at Lambeau.
Over 67,000 fans showed up to watch the practice that didn’t include any
live tackling.  Two injuries came out of
the workout.  BJ Raji tweaked an ankle
and rookie tight end Colt Lyerla hurt his knee trying to jump over a
defender.  The Packers will practice
tonight at 5:30pm in full pads.

The NFL kicked off the
preseason with the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton on Sunday night.  The Giants beat the Bills 17-13.  The Packers first preseason game is Saturday
night in Tennessee.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

The Brewers lead in the
National League Central is down to just 1 game over St.
Louis
and 1.5 games ahead of Pittsburgh
after a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday.
Matt Garza was cruising along giving up just one hit through six innings
of work, but he tweaked his left oblique and St. Louis scored 3 times in the 7th
off of Zach Duke and Jeremy Jeffress.
Mark Reynolds hit his 19th homer in the loss.  The Brewers will take today off and then open
up a three game series with the Giants at Miller Park
on Tuesday night.
