Packers Roll Over Titans

The Green Bay Packers dominated a listless Tennessee Titans 55-7 at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon.   Aaron Rodgers threw for 342 yards and 3 TDs.  He also ran for a score in the blowout win.  The Packers rushing game had it rolling as well with Ryan Grant carrying the ball 20 times for 8 yards and 2 TDs.  DuJuan Harris added 29 yards and a TD on the ground.  James Jones caught 7 passes for 100 yards and a TD. His 13 receiving TDs leads the NFL.  The Packers defense sacked Titans QB Jake Locker 7 times.  AJ Hawk had 2 of those sacks.   Green Bay’s defense had a shutout until Kenny Britt caught a two yard TD pass with less than 2 minutes left in the game.  The win improves Green Bay to 11-4 on the season.  With the 49ers getting blown out by Seattle, they sit in the #2 spot on the NFC playoff race.  If they win at Minnesota on Sunday, they will get a first round by in the post-season.  If the Vikings win next weekend, they will earn a playoff bid.  The NFL has moved next weekend’s game at the Metrodome from a Noon start to 3:25pm.

Cobb Hurt

The only negative out of Sunday’s game was return man Randall Cobb leaving the game with an injury.  Cobb set the team’s single season all-purpose yards record early in the game but left in the 2nd half with an ankle injury.  The training staff let him walk off the field into the locker room and Mike McCarthy didn’t think it was too series.
