 The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50 with a
24-10 upset over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday night in the San Francisco Bay
area.   The Denver
offense was only able to muster 194 yards of total offense but the defense
dominated Cam Newton and the Panthers. 
Super Bowl MVP Von Miller had 2.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in the
game.  Payton Manning threw for just 141
yards and had in an interception in what might be has last NFL game.  He told reporters after the game he would
wait to make a decision.


quarterback Brett Favre was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on
Saturday night.  Favre is joined by
Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace,  Kevin
Greene, Tony Dungy, Ken Stabler,  Dick
Stanfel, and former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, Junior.


With Favre
going into the Hall of Fame this summer, various reports say that the Packers
will be one of the team’s in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio
which kicks off the preseason schedule.


Matsuyama won The Waste Management Phoenix Open in a playoff over Rickie Fowler
on Sunday.  Fowler hit two balls in the
water on the 17th to give Matsuyama
the win.

The pairings
for the high school hockey tournament are set for the boys,  Fond
du Lac
gets a #3 seed and a first round bye. They will
host the winner of Beaver Dam and Oshkosh
on February 19th at the Blue Line. 
 St. Mary’s Springs gets a #8 seed
and hosts 9th seeded Sheboygan
on February 16th at the Blue Line. 
Waupun is the #2 seed and will host the winner of the Hamilton Co-Op and
Cedarburg on February 19th.    On the girls side, the Fond
du Lac
Co-Op gets a #2 seed and will host Appleton on February 19th at
5:30pm in their 1st round matchup.


We’ve got
high school girls basketball tonight on KFIZ as Winnebago Lutheran hosts St.
Mary’s Springs in a Flyway Conference matchup. 
Coverage begins at 7:05pm with the Tim Cruz Agency American Family
Insurance Pregame Show.  The tip is set
for 7:30pm
