The Brewers fell 1-0 to the Cincinnati Reds in the finale of their weekend series Sunday afternoon. Billy Hamilton scored on a passed ball by Jonathan Lucroy with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning to win the game. The loss spoiled a solid outing by starter Zach Davies who threw 7 innings of shutout baseball, allowing just four hits. The crew is off today, and will open a three game set in Pittsburgh Tuesday evening.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers hammered the Dayton Dragons 16-5 Sunday afternoon at Fifth Third Field in Dayton.  Wisconsin collected 19 hits as they scored in seven of the nine innings in which they batted.  Isan Diaz led the way with four hits and Mitch Ghelfi continued to crush Midwest League pitching with two hits – including a home run – and four RBI. The final game in the series is tonight in Dayton.

In NASCAR, Matt Kenseth pulled away down the stretch to win the Sprint Cup race Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch each led more than 120 laps before fading late, paving the way for Kenseth to win for the second time this season. Kenseth also won the New Hampshire race last September.

Tony Stewart finished second  Joey Logano was third, followed by Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle.
