Brewers Win

Kyle Lohse gave up 1 run and 4 hits in 8 innings as the Brewers routed the Phillies 9-1 on Sunday at Miller Park.  Carlos Gomez and Martin Maldonado each homered in the win.  Jim Henderson also got back on the hill to pitch a scoreless 9th for the Brewers. Ryan Braun left yesterday’s game in the 3rd with a nagging thumb injury.  Milwaukee opens up a three game set in Miami tonight.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm on KFIZ

Heat Even Series

LeBron James scored 17 points, pulled down 8 rebounds and dished off seven assists as Miami stopped San Antonio 103-84 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.  The series is even at 1-1 as it shifts to San Antonio for Game 3 on Tuesday night.

 

Ellis Offered Extension

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Buck have offered guard Monta Ellis a 2 year contract extension worth about $25 million dollars. Ellis has one year left on his contract which he can opt out of until June 20th.

 

NASCAR

Jimmie Johnson won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono on Sunday.  Greg Biffle was 2nd and Dale Earnhardt, Junior was 3rd.  Matt Kenseth was 25th.

 

Bears Trade Carimi

The Chicago Bears have traded former Wisconsin Badgers and first round draft pick Gabe Carimi to Tampa Bay for a 6th round pick.  The offensive lineman as struggled on the field and with injuries since being drafted 29th back in 2011.

Rafael Nadal won his 8th men’s French Open championship

 

PGA Tour

Harris English won the PGA Tour’s St. Jude Classic by two shots over Phil Mickelson and Scott Stallings.  The U.S. Open begins later this week.
