 A pair of area girls teams advanced to the
Sectionals over the weekend.  In Division
4, St. Mary’s Springs had no issues with Lake
Country Lutheran, rolling to an easy 48-20 win on Saturday night at the Hutter
Gym. The Ledgers will play #1 seed Oshkosh Lourdes on Thursday night.   That game has been moved from Watertown to Oshkosh

at West Bend on
Thursday night in a Sectional Semifinal.


Nebraska snapped the Badgers eight
game win streak with a 77-68 in Lincoln
last night.  Frank Kaminsky had 14 and
Nigel Hayes 12 in a losing effort.  The
Badgers will still get the #2 seed and a 1st round bye in the Big Ten
Tournament later this week.  Wisconsin will face either Minnesota
or Penn State on Friday night in the
quarterfinals.   You’ll hear it on

UW-Milwaukee will travel
to Wright State on Tuesday night in the Horizon
League Championship Game.  The Panthers
upset #1 seed UW-Green
on Saturday
night.  The Phoenix will now most likely be sent to The
NIT as the league’s regular season champs.


Marquette is headed to The NIT.  Devante Gardner was named 2nd Team
All Big East, while Freshman Deonte Burton was named to the All-Rookie Team.

The Brewers split the
squads and lost a pair of Cactus League games on Sunday, falling to Cleveland 4-2 and losing
to the Cubs 10-8.    The Brewers play the White Sox this
afternoon.  There is no radio broadcast
