The Wisconsin Badger men’s basketball rallied by Michigan
State 80-69 to win the Big Ten Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon in
Chicago.  Nigel Hayes scored a career
high 25 points.  Frank Kaminsky added 19
and Sam Dekker 18 in the win.  Bo Ryan’s squad
shutout the Spartans 11-0 in the extra period. 
Less than an hour after the win, UW found out they received the
program’s first ever #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.  The Badgers get the top seed in the West
Region and will face Coastal Carolina at Omaha
on Friday night. The tip is set for right around 8:20pm on Friday night.  It will air on TBS and you’ll hear it on
KFIZ.  If the Badgers win, their 2nd
game would be on Sunday against either Oregon
or Oklahoma State
The other #1 seeds are Kentucky,
Villanova, and Duke.

 

The UW-Green
Bay
men’s basketball team
was given an at-large bid to The NIT on Sunday night.  The Phoenix
will be a #5 seed and travel to #4 seed Illinois State
on Wednesday night.

 

The Green Bay women’s
basketball team earned an NCAA Tournament bid with an 86-77 overtime win over Wright State
in the Horizon League Tournament Championship on Sunday.  The Phoenix
(28-4) will find out their NCAA Tournament destination tonight.

 

The Brewers lost a pair of split-squad games on Sunday falling
to the A’s 5-2 and the Rangers 12-5. 
Kyle Lohse struck out 3 and gave up a pair of hits and one run in 4 and
a third innings against OaklandTexas
scored seven times in the 1st inning off of Taylor Jungmann in their
win over The Crew.  Carlos Gomez homered
for Milwaukee.  The Brewers take today off. 

 

Jordan Spieth’s 30-foot birdie put on the 3rd
extra hole gave him a PGA Tour win over Patrick Reed and Sean O’Hair at the
Valspar Open in Florida.

 

Kevin Harvick won his 4th straight race at Phoenix taking the NASCAR
Sprint Cup race on Sunday.  Jamie

The Marian baseball team dropped their first four games out
in Arizona.  They will be looking for win #1 today when
they take on Illinois Tech today in Tucson.
