Chris Carter’s RBI double in
the seventh scored Jonathan Lucroy and gave the Brewers a 3-2 win over the
Padres on Sunday at Miller
Park
.  Carter finished the day, just a triple away
from the cycle. Lucroy also clubbed his four homer in 5 games for Milwaukee.  Blaine Boyer picked up the win in relief of
Zach Davies. Jeremy Jeffress notched his 10th save of the
season.  The Brewers take today off, then
open up a three game set with the Cubs at Miller Park
on Tuesday night.

 

Doctors found nothing
seriously wrong with Ryan Braun’s wrist over the weekend.  Braun started experiencing wrist pain on
Friday.

Day completed a wire to wire win at The Players Championship on Sunday.  Day’s final round 71 put him and -15 for the
event and gave him a four shot win over Kevin Chappell.   Madison
native Jerry Kelly finished tied for 19th, 10 shots off the pace.

 

Wisconsin
native Matt Kenseth won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Dover on Sunday.  Kyle Larson was 2nd and Chase
Elliot 3rd.
