Packers Blown Out
It was a primetime blowout on Sunday Night at the New York Giants thumped the Green Bay Packers 38-10. It was a competitive game for the first five as the Giants marched down the field on their first possession to take an early lead 7-0 on a 2 yard Andre Brown TD run Green Bay countered as Aaron Rodgers found Jordy Nelson down the right sideline for a 61-yard score to knot the game at 7-7. After that it was all Giants as Eli Manning tossed a pair of TD passes, Amad Bradshaw added a TD run, and Lawrence Tynes kicked a field goal. All Green Bay could muster was a Mason Crosby field goal as the Giants built a 31-10 lead at the break, and expanded that lead, when Manning hit Hakeem Nicks for his 3rd TD pass of the day late in the third. Aaron Rodgers had no time to throw, getting sacked 5 times. He had an interception and a lost fumble in the game, throwing for just 219 yards. James Starks led the team in rushing with just 35 yards. The loss snaps a five game win streak for Green Bay. It also put the Bears back into first place in the NFC North all by themselves. Green Bay will host the Vikings next Sunday at Lambeau.
