The Green Bay Packer
throttled the Carolina Panthers 38-17 on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau
Field.  Aaron Rodgers was simply
spectacular completing 19 of 22 passes for 255 yards and three TDs.   Five different Packers scored touchdowns on
the day as Green Bay built a 38-3 lead before Carolina added a couple
of 4th quarter cosmetic touchdowns. 
The win improves the Packers to 5-2 on the season as they head to New Orleans for Sunday
Night Football next week.  Talk Packer football

Peyton Manning threw four
touchdown passes as the Broncos rolled over San Francisco 42-17 on Sunday Night
Football.  Those four TD passes gives
Manning an NFL record 510 for his career, passing Brett Favre’s 508.

Mississippi State is #1 in both college football polls this week.  Florida
State is #2, followed by Ole Miss and Alabama.  The Badgers are unranked as they get ready to
host Maryland
on Saturday.  The kickoff is set for 11am
with the pregame at Noon on KFIZ.

 

The Fond du Lac football team will host
Janesville Craig on Friday night in the first round of the WIAA Division One Football
Playoffs at Fruth Field.  You’ll hear
that game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ..  Fondy
is the #3 seed, while Craig drew the #6 seed. 
Big 8 champion Middleton is the #2 seed in the Cardinals pod, while
defending Division Two champ Kimberly is the #1 seed. Fondy and Kimberly could
match up in round three if they both win two games.  

 

St. Mary’s Springs is the #1
seed in their pod and will play Manitowoc Lutheran on Friday night at North Fond du Lac
You’ll hear that game on K107.1 presented by BCI Burke Company.  Looking ahead Fondy would meet Shiocton in
round three if both teams hold serve setting up one of the premiere non-state
championship games in the state.
