The Green Bay Packers rolled over the Minnesota Vikings
44-31 on Sunday Night Football.  Aaron
Rodgers throw for 285 yards and two touchdowns to Jordy Nelson of 11 and 76
yards.  Eddie Lacy ran for 94 and James
Starks 57 in the win.  The Vikings
Cordarrelle Patterson returned the opening kickoff 109 yards for a TD and after
that it was all Packers.  Micah Hyde also
took a punt back 93 yards for a Packer TD. Adrian Peterson ran for just 60
yards and a TD.  The Vikings added a pair
of garbage time TDs to make the score closer. 
Green Bay hosts Chicago on Monday Night Football next week. Talk

The Boston Red Sox evened up the World Series at 2-2.  Johnny Gomes’ three run homer in the 6th
lifted the Red Sox to the 4-2.  On
Saturday night the game ended on an obstruction call.  Last night the game ended when Kolten Wong
picked off a Cardinal runner in the bottom of the 9th. Both are
World Series firsts to end a game. Game 5 is tonight in St. Louis.

 

Jeff Gordon won the NASCAR race at Martinsville
Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson are tied for the Chase lead.  Gordon is 27 points back.

 

The high school football playoffs continues this upcoming
weekend with round 2, and we’ll have the area covered.  Fond du Lac
will host Germantown
on Friday night Division One matchup at 7pm. 
You’ll hear it on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ. On Saturday afternoon WLA hosts
Kewaunee in a Division Five matchup. 
That game kicks off and you’ll hear it on K107.1-FM.  On Saturday night, St. Mary’s Springs hosts Deerfield at 7pm. 
That game will also be heard on KFIZ. 
Also on Friday night, Laconia travels to Lancaster for their 2nd
round game at 7pm.  Also in D4 next
weekend, Campbellsport hosts Freedom.  We
haven’t been given a kickoff time on that one yet.
