The Packers improved to 2-0 on the season with a 27-17 win
over Seattle on
Sunday Night Football.  Aaron Rodgers
went 9×9 in the 4th quarter for 91 yards as Green Bay outscored the Seahawks 11-0 to grab
the victory.  He finished the day with
249 yards and 2 TDs.  Mason Crosby kicked
four field goals to become the Packers all-time leading scorer.  The Packers injury bug did hit them as
running back Eddie Lacy and defensive lineman Josh Boyd left the game with
ankle injuries.  The Packers host the
Chiefs next week on Monday Night Football.

 

In the NFC North…Adrian Petersen ran for 134 yards as the
Vikings beat Detroit
26-16.  The Bears fell to 0-2 with a
48-23 loss at home to Arizona.  Chicago QB Jay Cutler left the game with a
hamstring injury.

 

The Colts host the Jets tonight on Monday Night Football.

 

The Brewers snapped an 8 game losing skid with a 6-4 win
over the Reds on Sunday afternoon at Miller
Park
.  Adam Lind drove in three and the Brewers used
a five run 5th to help make a winner out of Ariel Pena.  The Crew opens up a three game set at Wrigley
night against the Cubs.  Coverage begins
at 6:30pm on KFIZ.

 

Various reports say that the Brewers will hire 30-year-old
David Stearns as their next General Manager replacing Doug Melvin.  Stearns has been the assistant GM of the
Houston Astros. He worked for the Mets, Pirates, and Indians and Major League
Baseball since graduating from Harvard in 2007.

Jason Day became the #1 ranked golfer in the world with a
win at the BMW Championship as part of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs on
Sunday.  Day’s final round 69 put him at
-22 for the event and gave him a six shot win over Daniel Berger.  Madison
native Jerry Kelly tied for 62nd at +2 for the event.

 

Denny Hamlin won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Chicago on Sunday.  Carl Edwards was 2nd.  As for your Wisconsin
drivers, Matt Kenseth was 5th and Paul Menard was 17th.

 

Women’s College Tennis

The Marian women’s tennis team lost a pair of matches to
Carroll and Edgewood over the weekend.
