HS Football: Several area football players will be taking part in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Games today at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh. From Fond du Lac High School, Trey Halfmann, Donte Johnson and Devon Krzanowski will play for the Large Schools – North Division team. From St. Mary’s Springs Academy, Michael Buetow, Fintan Floyd and Mason Steffes will play for the Small Schools – South Division team. Lomira’s Adam Kinyon is also on the South – Small team. In the Eight Man all-star game, Oakfield’s DuWayne Balthazor and Jason Culver will play for the South Division team. Oaks’ head coach Corey Rickert is an assistant coach for the South team as well. The eight man game kicks off at 10am, with the small schools game at 2pm and the large schools game at 6pm.

–AJ Lewis went 3 for 4 at the plate and pitcher Jacob Barton allowed just one run on three hits in five innings of work as the Dock Spiders defeated Battle Creek on the road Friday night. Fondy stays in Michigan to play Kalamazoo tonight, first pitch is 6:05 pm.

–The Brewers used an eight run second inning to earn a win over Philadelphia Friday night in their first game of the second half of the regular season. Orlando Arica hit a three run home run in the second and Ryan Braun followed with a grand slam to break the game open. Zach Davies earned his 11th win of the season on the mound, while Corey Knebel nailed down his 15th save of the year with a scoreless ninth. Game two of the series is tonight, coverage begins at 5:50 pm, first pitch at 6:25 on KFIZ.

–Gary Payton II, Stephen Zimmerman and Travis Trice all had 12 points in the loss as the Bucks wrapped up their Summer League play with a 1-4 record.
