Brewers Offense Stale in St. Louis
The Brewers could only muster up two hits against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night as the Redbirds downed Milwaukee 2-0. Kyle Lohse pitched admirably in his return to Busch Stadium, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings. Lohse struck out two batters in his performance but was bested by Cardinals pitched Shelby Miller. Miller went seven innings and allowed just one hit in his time on the mound. If the Brewers are going to rebound today it has to be against Adam Wainwright (1-1, 3.46 ERA). Yovani Gallardo (0-0, 5.73) will take the bump for the Crew. Bucks Lose to Hawks
The Bucks are winding down their regular season hoping not to limp into the playoffs although that wasn’t the case on Friday night when they blew a fourth quarter lead to the Atlanta Hawks. Milwaukee was outscored 34-22 in the game’s final stanza, dropping the contest 109-104. Milwaukee falls to 37-42 on the season. Monta Ellis lead the Bucks with 27 points and a career-high 17 assists. Ersan Illyasova added 25 points. Brandon Jennings did not play. The Bucks travel to Charlotte to take on the Bobcats tonight, you can find coverage on KFIZ after the Brewer game.
Elsewhere in the NBA, Kobe Bryant was injured in the Lakers win over Golden State. He will miss the remainder of the season.
Green Bay Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith guaranteed that he would be present for the start of the off-season conditioning program Monday when he signed his one-year, $1.323 million restricted free-agent tender Friday.
Jason Day leads the Masters heading into the weekend at 6 under. Steve Stricker is 1 under after Thursday and Friday’s action.
Tiger Woods finished with a score of -3 after two days of action but has been penalized two strokes for a bad drop in the second round.
