The Brewers are indeed ready for a difficult weekend series in baseball against the LA Dodgers, especially after there 9 to 3 successful outing last night.  Rickie Weeks hit a three-run homer and Gerardo Parra had two hits and two RBIs.  Milwaukee has called up Mike Fiers from Triple- A Nashville to get the start in place of the injured Matt Garza who is on the 15 day disabled list.  Milwaukee sent reliever Rob Wooten down to Nashville for Fiers.  The series will continue tonight but you will hear Packers football on KFIZ.

Scores around the NL central; the Orioles beat the Cardinals 12 to 2, the Rays beat the Cubs 4 to 3, the Pirates beat the Padres 2 to 1, and the Marlins beat the Reds 2 to 1 as well.

Rory Mcilroy leads the PGA championship threw 2 rounds as he is 9 under par.  Jason Day is in second place with an 8 under, Phil Mickleson is ties for 7th with a 6 under, and Steve Stricker is tied for ninth with a 5 under par.

If you’re getting anxious to see your Wisconsin Badgers in action, you may be in luck.  The Badgers have a free scrimmage at Camp Randall Stadium.  You will be the first to see Heisman Trophy candidate Melvin Gordon.  Gordon says he has thought about being a Heisman candidate before….   Once again you can see the Badgers tomorrow in a scrimmage at 11 A.M. in Madison.

Brett Favre is making a return.  That return being to Wisconsin.  It’s been 6 years since he was in Wisconsin.  As you may remember he retired in 2008, was then traded to the Jets for a season, retired again, and then came back and played 2 years with the Minnesota Vikings.  Favre said his 16 years he spent in Green Bay was wonderful…Favre also says he hopes we can all move on from the rough break up in 2008….Brett Favre will make an appearance at Lambeau sometime this season.  He is also going to be retired into the Packers hall of fame along with getting his jersey retired at a ceremony next July.  Favre is also predicted to be a first ballot hall of fame induction next year as well.

The Packers have there first pre-season game tonight against the Tennessee Titans.  We can look for first round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to get a long look as Morgan Burnett will miss this game with an injury.  Also, you can look for a battle for the #2 QB spot.  Tolzein and Flinn have been neck n neck threw-out training camp.  Here is Aaron Rodgers on what he looks for in a preseason match…you can here that game at 5 o clock on our sister station K107 FM or right here on your radio dial at 1450 KFIZ.

With that….
