Brewers Baseball
The Brewers play their first Cactus League game this afternoon against Oakland.  Mike Fiers will get the start for Milwaukee.  Our first radio broadcast of the season is next Friday as the Crew takes on Colorado. 

 

Bucks Tonight
The Bucks host Atlanta tonight at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  The tip is set for 7:30pm.  The Bucks currently hold the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference

Fondy Hockey Heads To State
Sophomore Jack Nejedlo scored three goals in the 3rd period as Fond du Lac rallied for a 6-4 win over Mequon Homestead in the Sectional Final on Friday night at Hartland.  Fondy led 3-1 after one period on goals by Ben Pertl, Ty Rebedew and Kyle Dunn.  Homestead raced back to tie it at 3 with a pair of goals in the 2nd period and then took the lead early in the 3rd period before Nejedlo’s 3rd period hat trick.  The win gets Fondy (22-3-2) back to the State Tournament in Madison on Thursday night when they will play Superior at 8:15pm.  You’ll hear that game on KFIZ and kfiz.com.

 

Fondy Boys Pull Off Upset
The Fond du Lac boys basketball team advanced to the Regional Final with a 45-44 win at #2 seed Neenah on Friday night.  Max Schebel’s put-back with less than 3 seconds left was the game winner.  Fondy improves to 12-11 on the season and will travel to either Stevens Point or Appleton West for Monday night’s Regional Final.  That game was postponed to Saturday night because of the snow.

WIAA State Wrestling

In Division 2, at 126 Campbellsport’s  Ryan Costello will wrestle Phil Opelt of Neillsville for the state title. At 152, Chilton-Hilbert’s Mitchell Fucile will wrestle for the state title  At 182 Waupun’s Brady Huenink will wrestle for the title. In Division 3, At 160 Laconia’s Mason Lind will still have a chance for 3rd place.  Laconia’s Cody Moon lost in the semifinals and will wrestle for 3rd place today at 220.
