The Brewers have dropped the NL lead to 1 game after a 7 to 6 tough loss to the Cardinals last night.  The brewers were up 6 to 0 by the third inning and couldn’t get any offence after that.  Matt Holiday it a 2 out solo home-run in the ninth to secure the victory for the Cardinals.  The Brewers have now dropped 10 of there last 11 games and now have only a 1 game lead atop the NL central.  The series continues this afternoon as rookie Jimmy Nelson gets the nod against Cardinals ace, Adam Wainwright.  Coverage begins 2:35 and as always you can here that game right here on KFIZ.

Scores around the NL central yesterday; The Cubs beat the Braves 5 to 4, and the Reds beat the Pirates 6 to 5.

The King is coming home, that of course being Lebron James.   James announced that he will be returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers after a 4 year stint with the Miami Heat.  The deal with the Cav’s is 4 years and expected to be the 88 Million dollar maximum.  James stated the Ohio is where his roots are, and he wants to give back to them just as much as they gave him.  Cleveland sold out of season tickets just 8 hours after the signing was announced.

Chris Bosh is in the midst of finalizing a deal to return to the Heat.  The deal is said to be a five year, 118 Million dollar deal.  The heat is also working on trying to lure Dwayne Wade back as well.  Bosh and Wade were part of the “big three”  when Lebron James was in town as well. 

The #1 and #2 pick from the NBA draft went head-to-head in a summer league game yesterday.  Andrew Wiggins of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jabari Parker of the Bucks showed flashes of brilliance but Wiggins and the Cav’s prevailed 70-68.  Parker said he would give himself a B- or a C+ on is debut performance.  Parker finished with 17 points and nine rebounds and showed an ability to get to the free-throw line, making 7 of 11 foul shots.  The Bucks next summer league game is July 13th at 9:00PM against the Phoenix Sun’s.

Zach Johnson and William McGirt are tied for the lead in the John Deere classic with a 12 under par threw 2 rounds.  Wisconsin native Steve Striker is tied for 6th at 9 under par.  Jerry Kelley has shot an 8 under par.

Brazil and Netherlands will play today in the World Cup at 3:00.  Tomorrow, Germany and Argentina will play at 2:00.

In eastern Wisconsin conference baseball the New Holstien Huskies come back with 3 in bottom of 7th in game 2 to get the sweep over Kiel.  The Huskies one the first game of the double header by a score of 13 to 1.
