Johnny Hellweg’s first shot as a starter may be over in Milwaukee. The prospect was roughed up for seven runs and seven hits in 3 and two-thirds innings of work in a 12-5 loss the Mets on Friday night.  Just three of those runs were earned.  Milwaukee committed three more errors on the night.   Juan Francisco hit his 11th homer in the loss.  The series continues tonight.  Coverage begins at 5:40pm on KFIZ.  The first pitch is set for 6:15pm.

 

Bucks Like Mayo

Reports says that the Bucks have agreed to a three-year contract with guard OJ Mayo.  Last season with Dallas he averaged 15 points and 4 assists.  The move is the first as the Bucks try to rebuild their backcourt have already losing Monta Ellis, JJ Redick, and Mike Dunleavy.  The deal is said to be worth $24 million dollars.

 

Howard To Rockets

The chase for free agent big man Dwight Howard is over.  Howard Tweeted that he’s signing with the Houston Rockets and leaving the Lakers after just one season.  Over the last week, Howard visited Dallas, Atlanta, Golden State along with the Lakers and Rockets before deciding on Houston.

Wisconsin native Matt Kenseth won the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona on Friday night.
