Keon Broxton and Kirk Nieuwenhuis each homered as the
Brewers beat Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals 5-3 on Friday night at Miller Park.
  Aaron Hill also drove in a pair as
Carlos Torres picked up the win in relief of Zach Davies.  The series continues this afternoon. Coverage

Gene Sauers and Esteban Toledo hold the first round lead of
the American Family Insurance Championship at University Ridge in the Madison area.  The pair lead the first time Champions Tour
event by one shot over Fran Quinn.

 

Billy Hurley III and Jon Rahm share the lead at the halfway
point of the Quicken Loans National at Congressional on the PGA Tour.  At -11, they hold a three shot lead over
Vijay Singh.

 

Wisconsin’s leading goal-scorer as a freshman, Luke Kunin
(Chesterfield, Missouri) was chosen by the Minnesota Wild with the 15th overall
pick, and incoming freshman forward Trent Frederic (St. Louis) was taken 29th
overall by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft on
Friday. The two-day event is taking place at First
Niagara Center
in Buffalo, New York.
