High School’s double team of Keenan Salah and Matt Riley won a pair of matches
on Friday at the WIAA State Boys Tennis Tournament to reach the State
Semifinals.  The pair will play this
morning at 9:45am.  A win will put them
in the state title match later in the day.

The WIAA State Track Meet is underway in
LaCrosse.   Fond du Lac High School
senior Peter Andrew finished 7th in the boys shot-put to collect the
Cardinals only 2 points of the day.   In Division Three Boys, St.
Mary’s Springs’ Sam Spranger had the top time in the 400 meter dash
preliminaries.

 

The St.
Mary’s Springs girls scored 21 points on the opening day of the Division Three
State Meet.  The Ledgers’ Liz Bohn was 2nd
in the 800 and 5th in the 1600. 
Melanie Schneider was 2nd in the long jump.  Lizzy Leichtle finished 8th in the
shot put. In Division Two, Chilton’s Kayla Giese was 8th in the 1600
meter run to earn a point for the Tigers.

 

The Boys and Girls State Track Meet wraps
up today.

 

The NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals continue
tonight as Tampa Bay
hosts Chicago.  The Blackhawks lead the best of seven series
1-0.

 

Bad news for the Cleveland Cavs.  They lost guard Kyrie Irving for the rest of
the NBA Finals with a fractured knee-cap. 
Irving was hurt during overtime of
Thursday’s series opening loss to Golden
State
.  Game 2 is Sunday night.

 

Adam Lind homered and drove in 6 runs as
the Brewers stopped the Twins 10-5 on Friday night in Minnesota

American Pharoah looks to make history
today at The Belmont Stakes.  The win would
give the sport it’s first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.  You can hear The Belmont Stakes on KFIZ right
after Brewers baseball.
