The Wisconsin Badgers advanced in the NCAA Tournament
Friday. The Badgers started out slow scoring an NCAA record low 16 points in the
first half, but rebounded in the second half to beat Pittsburgh 47 to 43. Ethan
Happ had 15 points for the Badgers who face Xavier in the second round
Sunday.

The U-W Green Bay Phoenix played in their first NCAA
Tournament game in 20 years, but weren’t as fortunate as the Badgers. Texas A
& M cruised past them 92 to 65. Green Bay’s leading scorer was senior guard
Carrington Love who had 17 points.

The Green Bay Packers reached a two-year $6 million deal
with running back James Starks on Friday. The 30-year-old Starks had a career
high 601 rushing yards last season, but also fumbled the ball 5 times.

Mike Eaves has been fired. The UW Badgers hockey coach
managed to coach the team to a pair of 12 wins seasons over the last two
seasons. He was Wisconsin’s hockey coach for 14 years.

The Waupun Warriors make their first ever appearance in a
WIAA Boys Basketball Championship Game today at the Kohl Center in Madison. They
will play Xavier in the Division 3 final at 2:30 p.m. The Warriors are 26 and 1
on the season and Xavier enters the game with a 24 and 3 mark.

Thre Reds edged the Milwaukee Brewers Friday 7 to 6. Today
the Crew plays the Angels. Listen for that action beginning at 2:55 p.m. on
