League play after a 5-2 win over Seattle
on Friday.  Wily Peralta and Chris
Capuano each threw two scoreless innings.

Timberwolves 116-101 on Friday night at BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Basketball Tournament gets going today in DetroitGreen Bay has
the #4 seed and will take on 9th seeded Cleveland State
at 11am tomorrow morning.  5th
seed Milwaukee takes on 8 seed Northern
Kentucky
about 1:30pm.  The
league championship game is Tuesday night.

today for their regular season finale.

Sabres Earn Split In Season Opening Games

The Marian baseball team split a pair of games with Simpson as they began their road trip in Arizona on Friday.  Marian dropped the opener 18-7 but rallied for 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th to steal an 8-7 victory in the night cap.  Cody Schaefer’s RBI single plated Hunter Berry with the game winner for Jason Bartlet’s squad.  The Sabres will face off with Whitman and Hamline today. 


Badgers Fire Women’s Hoops Coach

The Wisconsin Badgers have fired women’s basketball coach Bobby Kelsey after 5 seasons on the job.  Kelsey was just 47-100 in her time in Madison and was never better than 9th in the Big Ten.
