Marquette
Wet courts led to the cancellation of two men’s college basketball games on the decks of aircraft carriers on Friday night.
The game between No. 4 Ohio State and Marquette on the USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, S.C., was canceled before it began due to moisture on the court. Coach Buzz Williams and Thad Matta decided it was in the best interest of the players’ health to not play on a damp surface.
The game between No. 10 Florida and Georgetown aboard the USS Bataan in Jacksonville, Fla., was called off at halftime because the court became too wet as well
