Viking Runners Head To State
The Winnebago Lutheran boys cross country team is in Wisconsin Rapids for the WIAA State Meet this morning. It’s the 2nd time in school history that the Vikings boys team has qualified for the meet and head coach Larry Klukas thinks the team also is prepped for a strong race. Klukas adds that his runners can’t burn a lot of energy early in the race or they will run out of gas on the tough course. Waupun’s team has also qualified for the Division Two race, which is set to begin at 11:40am this morning at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
