Fond du Lac Cross Country competed at the Neenah invite on Friday. The boys team finished in 7th place, The highest individual finisher for the boys was Kiernan Koepke in 14th place. On the girls side, Madison Hughes was the team’s only medalist, finishing 7th in the girls race. 

An RBI double by Scooter Gennett in the 6th inning was all the scoring the Brewers needed in a 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday night. Brewers pitching allowed only 7 hits in the win. Game two of the series is Saturday at Miller Park. 

The Packers must cut their roster down to meet the 53 man limit by 3pm today. The roster currently sits at 75 after the first round of cuts earlier in the week. The team finished 3-1 on the preseason and now looks ahead to the season opener next Sunday at Jacksonville. 

The Badgers open their season today against LSU at Lambeau Field. Pregame at 12:30, 2:30 pm kickoff on KFIZ.
