Fond du Lac 79, Kaukauna 78.

–Luke Loewe made the game winning layup with seven seconds left to lift the Cardinals to a one point win over the Ghosts at Fond du Lac High School. Sam Fredrickson had 20 points to lead FDL, Luke Loewe 17 and Caleb Goldstein 11. Fondy hosts Oshkosh West on Tuesday.

Wrestling:

North Fond du Lac/St. Mary’s Springs placed 2nd at the De Pere Duals. The Oriole/Ledger Wrestling team earned wins over Sturgeon Bay, Stevens Point, Green Bay United and Marinette before falling to De Pere in the Championship match. Andrew Forsythe, Dalton Fritch, Dakota Maas, Zach Choate,  and Austin Hernandez all won their weight classes with 5-0 records.

Winnebago Lutheran took 6th place at the Markesan Invite. Luke Meihack (160 pounds) and Tanner Haase at 195 were first place finishers.

Laconia goes 5-0 at the Waupun tournament with wins over Kenosha Christian Life, Marshall, Mayville, Waupun and West Bend East.

Lomira finished fourth at the Terry Kramer Open at Fort Atkinson with 393 team points. Tyler Garrity at 106 pounds and Allan Klink at 220 pounds are 2nd place finishers for the Lions.

Campbellsport finishes third at the Bernie Kane Classic at Madison East HS. The Cougars defeat Madison East, Madison West and Madison LaFollette and lose to Wilmot Union and Oconomowoc.

Boys Swimming:

Fond du Lac took fourth place at the Hartford Relays with 332 points. The highest finish for the Cardinals was a 2nd place finish in the 4X100 Individual Medley Relay with a time of 4:19:38.

–Ethan Happ scored a career high 28 points and added 12 rebounds as the Badgers outlasted the Gophers in overtime in Minneapolis. Bronson Koenig hit a three pointer with 44 seconds left in the extra period to put the Badgers ahead. Wisconsin hosts Penn State on Tuesday.
