WIAA State Meet:

Fond du Lac sophomore Grace Sphatt finished in 21st place in the 500 yard Freestyle at the State Meet with a time of 5:21:14

#6 Wisconsin 38, #20 Iowa 14

–The Badgers defense smothered the Hawkeyes as Wisconsin improved to 10-0 for the first time in school history and clinched the Big Ten West Division Title with the win at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday. Iowa totaled just 66 yards of offense on 50 plays, an average of 1.3 yards per play in the loss, one week after totaling 487 yards of offense in an upset win over Ohio State. Kendric Pryor ran for a score and caught another touchdown pass from Alex Hornibrook in the win, as Wisconsin totaled 382 yards of offense. Iowa’s two scores came thanks to defensive back Josh Jackson, who returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the loss. Wisconsin hosts Michigan next Saturday.

–The Gophers totaled 514 yards of offense, 409 of them on the ground, in a rout of Nebraska at TCF Bank Stadium.

–Brett Kasper threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns as the Titans completed an undefeated regular season and clinched the outright WIAC Championship with the win in Menomonie.

–Giannis Antetokounmpo posted another double-double of 33 points and 15 rebounds as the Bucks downed the Lakers at the Bradley Center. Milwaukee is back to .500 at 6-6 on the year, and hosts Memphis on Monday.
