Five girls basketball teams were crowned State Champions on Saturday as the WIAA Girls State Basketball tournament concluded at the Resch Center in Green Bay. The results from Championship Saturday:

Division 1: Appleton North 49, De Pere 34

Division 2: Beaver Dam 52, Cudahy 33

Division 3: Madison Edgewood 51, Greendale Martin Luther 30

Division 4: Howards Grove 44, La Crosse Aquinas 43

Boys Basketball:



WIAA Division 3 Sectional Championships:

Ripon 78, Greendale Martin Luther 63

–Ripon will face Xavier in the D3 State Semifinals, Thursday at 3:15 pm at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Men’s College Basketball:

Big Ten Tournament Semifinals:

Wisconsin 76, Northwestern 48

–Nigel Hayes scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Badgers cruised by Northwestern to advance to Sunday’s championship game.

Michigan 84, Minnesota 77

–Wisconsin takes on Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game. Coverage begins at 1pm, tipoff time is 2pm. Hear the game on KFIZ.

NBA:

Milwaukee 102, Minnesota 95

–Tony Snell scored 19 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo 18 as the Bucks won their sixth straight game. Milwaukee travels to Memphis for action on Monday.

–Jesus Aguilar went 2 for 2 with a home run in the Brewers’ win. Milwaukee plays Cincinnati this afternoon in Cactus League play.

NFL:

The Packers have signed tight end Lance Kendricks. Kendricks last played with the LA Rams, where he started all 16 games last year, catching 50 passes for 499 yards and two touchdowns. The Milwaukee native and University of Wisconsin alumnus has caught 204 passes for 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career with St. Louis/Los Angeles.
