Kirk Nieuwnhuis hit a pair of home runs and Jonathan Lucroy
also went deep as the Brewers beat the Cubs 6-1 on Saturday night at Miller Park.  Zach Davies picked up the win.  The series wraps up this afternoon.  Coverage begins at 12:35pm on KFIZ.

 

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is at Indianapolis today for the Brickyard
400.  Kyle Busch is on the pole
today.  Jeff Gordon will start 21st
in place of Dale Earnhardt, Junior who still is battling a concussion.

 

Brandt Snedeker had a one shot lead going into the final
round of the Canadian Open on the PGA Tour. 
At -9, he is one shot clear of Dustin Johnson and Jared du Toit.

 

Waupun’s American Legion baseball earned a trip back to the
Class A state tournament with a 13-2 Regional win over Jefferson
on Saturday.  This year’s Class A State
Tournament is in Prairie du Chien.

 

Lomira-Theresa is still alive in the Class AA Regional with
weather delaying the finish of Saturday’s game. 
L-T trailed Beaver Dam 7-1 in the bottom of the 6th when the
rains came.  They will try and finish
that game at 4pm today in Beaver Dam.  If
L-T would rally for a victory they would have to beat Beaver Dam a 2nd
time to earn a Regional title.
