the 12th off of Chris Capuano to pick up an 8-7 win on Saturday
night at Miller Park

Jason Day’s one over par 75 was good enough to give him a
four shot lead over three other golfers heading into the final round of The
Players Championship.  Day looks to win
the event in wire to wire fashion.  Madison native Jerry Kelly
shot a five over par 77 on Saturday and is tied for 21st.

 

The St. Mary’s Springs golf
team won the Viking Invite at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Saturday.  The Ledgers topped 2nd place Green
Bay Notre Dame by six shots.  Winnebago
Lutheran was 4th.  WLA’s Chris
Colla’s two over par 74 was good for a one shot victory of St. Mary’s Springs’
Brady Sarauer.

 

The Fond du Lac
boys tennis team won The Sheboygan North Invite for the 3rd straight
year.

 

The Northeast Wisconsin Sports Awards were held in Green Bay on Saturday
night.   The Laconia softball team won the Female Team of
the Year Award.
