field goal in the closing seconds gave Wisconsin
a 23-21 win at Nebraska
on Saturday afternoon.   Joel Stave passed for 322 yards and a
touchdown while Dare Ogunbowale ran for 117 yards. Wisconsin
hosts Purdue next Saturday at Camp

Girls Volleyball

The Fond du Lac girls volleyball team went 4-1 at
the Lodi Invite on Saturday which was good for 3rd place out of 8
teams.  The Cardinals beat Cuba City,
Madison LaFollete, Edgerton and McFarland. They fell to Wisconsin Heights.

 

The North Fondy girls
volleyball team dropped three matches at Edgar on Saturday.  The Orioles fell to Marathon,
Edgar, and Laona-Wabeno.

 

College Cross Country

APPLETON, Wis.
Marian cross country returned to action traveling to the Gene Davis
Invitational hosted by Lawrence
University
.  The Wisconsin Track Club won the meet on the
men’s side led by Dylan Souder who ran a 25:57 to earn the individual title.  Jacob
Leiden placed 50th to lead the Sabres with a time of 28:47.98, while Isaac
Kinjerski set a new personal record in consecutive meets with a 31:48.15. Kayla
Gregar placed 33rd for Marian finishing with a 26:49.7.  The Sabres next meet will be next weekend
when they head to the Private College Championship Saturday, Oct. 17.

College Golf

Marian University men’s golf opened the Northern Athletics Collegiate
Conference Championship in third place after shooting a 320 (+32).  The Sabres are four strokes behind Wisconsin
Lutheran, and 11 strokes behind Edgewood.
