Girls Tennis:

WIAA Division 2 Sectionals (At Wayland Academy)”

For St. Mary’s Springs: # 1 singles player Abby Michels and the #1 doubles team of Eleanor Stone/Isa Hopper both lost their first round matches at sectionals.

For Mayville: #2 singles player Alaina Hazelberg placed third after going 1-1, #4 singles player Sierra Schellpfeffer placed second after going 1-1, while the #1 doubles team of Kasey Wandling/Theresa Liska lost their first round match.

National League Wild Card Game:

Arizona 11, Colorado 8

–Arizona nearly saw a 6-0 lead slip away, but a two-run triple in the seventh off the bat of reliever Archie Bradley – part of four triples on the night for the Diamondbacks – helped Arizona win the National League Wild Card Game on Wednesday night. Arizona will take on the LA Dodgers in the National League Division Series, game one is Friday.

This afternoon, the American League Division Series gets underway as Boston travels to Houston for game one. Later tonight, New York visits Cleveland.

NBA Preseason:

Indiana 104, Milwaukee 86

–Gary Payton II had 15 points, Rashad Vaughn added 14 as the Bucks dropped to 0-2 in the preseason with the loss at the Bradley Center Wednesday night. Milwaukee is at Chicago on Friday in preseason action.

Sports on the air tonight: at 6pm its the Paul Chryst Show, with Thursday Night Football to follow at 7pm as New England visits Tampa Bay.
