The WIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament gets underway this afternoon at the Kohl Center in Madison. The Division 3 semifinals begin this afternoon at 1:35 with the Division 4 semifinals beginning at 6:35 pm. The Ripon Tigers will play in the D3 semifinals at approximately 3:15 today against unbeaten Appleton Xavier.

Men’s College Basketball:

The Badgers get ready to face Virginia Tech in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament tonight in Buffalo, New York.  Badger Radio Network coverage begins at 7:30, tipoff time around 8:40 this evening, hear the game on KFIZ.

NBA: Milwaukee 97, LA Clippers 96

–Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton each scored 16 points as the Bucks held off the Clippers in Los Angeles. Milwaukee continues their west coast road trip with Friday night action at the LA Lakers.

MLB: Colorado 5, Milwaukee 4

–Yadiel Rivera went 2 for 3 in the loss for Milwaukee. The Brewers host Arizona today. Coverage on the Brewers Radio Network begins at 2:55 this afternoon on KFIZ.

The Big Ten Men’s Hockey Tournament begins today at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Minnesota and Wisconsin receive first round byes in the tournament. Minnesota awaits the winner of the Penn State vs. Michigan quarterfinal while Wisconsin takes on the winner of the quarterfinal game being played today between Ohio State and Michigan State.

NASCAR has declined to penalize Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and their crews for Sunday’s post-race scuffle at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. NASCAR says the sport was built on the kind of racing that Busch and Logano demonstrated on the final laps of the Monster Energy race. Busch confronted Logano after the race and threw a punch before being knocked to the ground by Team Penske crew members.
