Girls Golf:

Fond du Lac finished in fifth place at the Wisconsin Dells Invite. The Cardinals shot a 423 on day two of the invite, and had a total score of 815. Shefali Bhatt finished in fourth place overall with a 176, Margaret Krolczyk finished 9th with a 184.

Girls Tennis:

Fond du Lac went 3-0 at the Oshkosh North Invite on Wednesday. The Cardinals defeated Lake Geneva Badger 4-3, West Bend East 5-2 and West Bend West 4-3.

Northwoods League:

Game one of the Summer Collegiate World Series between Battle Creek and St. Cloud was postponed due to rain in St. Cloud. Game one will be played at 4:05 pm today.

National League:

Milwaukee 7, Pittsburgh 6

–Manny Pina’s two-run home run in the eighth inning helped the Brewers earn a sweep of the short two-game series with Pittsburgh at Miller Park on Wednesday. Milwaukee trailed 4-0 entering the third, but unleashed a home run barrage – five in total, including two from Keon Broxton and Pina’s blast in the 8th, to help them tie the game and eventually take the lead. Anthony Swarzak earned the win in relief, he’s 1-0 on the year, Corey Knebel picked up his 24th save of the season in the ninth. The Brewers are off today and open a nine-game road trip in Colorado on Friday.

College Basketball:

Wisconsin basketball has released its full 2017-18 schedule, which includes an early December start to Big Ten play with a visit from Ohio State. The game against the Buckeyes on Dec. 2 follows a trip to Virginia to face the Cavaliers in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge on Nov. 27. The season opens Nov. 10 against South Carolina State. Wisconsin finishes regular-season play with four of five games at the Kohl Center, wrapping up with the finale on Feb. 25 against Michigan State. The annual in-state rivalry game against Marquette is Dec. 9 in Madison
