The
Brewers fell in St. Louis
4-2 on Wednesday night. Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez knocked in the Brewers
runs.   Wily Peralta got knocked around for 10 hits
and four runs in 5 inning to take the loss. 
 Lance Lynn gave up one run in
five innings to pick up the win for the Cardinals.  Carlos Gomez left the game in the 9th
with a hamstring injury.  The series
wraps up this afternoon as Mike Fiers takes on John Lakey.  Coverage begins at 12:10pm on News-Talk 1450

The Bucks
finish the regular season at 41-41 after losing their regular season finale in Boston 105-100 on
Wednesday night.  Ersan Ilyasova led the
way with 21.  Head coach Jason Kidd had
11 players see 12 minutes or more in the game.

 

The Bucks
are the #6 seed and will play the #3 seed Bulls in the first round of the
playoffs. Game one of the series is Saturday night at 6pm at the United Center
in Chicago.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.  Game Two will be Monday night at 7pm in Chicago.  Game 3 is Thursday night at 7pm in Milwaukee. Game 4 is
Saturday in Milwaukee
at 4:30pm.

 

UW-Green Bay introduced their new head coach
Linc Darner on Wednesday. Darner won the Division II national championship at Florida Southern this
year.  The former Purdue player says his
teams will play an up-tempo style.  He
replaces Brian Wardle who left for the head coaching job at Bradley.

 

St. Mary’s Springs Academy
senior Liz Bohn signed her Letter of Intent to run track and cross country at South Dakota on
Thursday.  Bohn has qualified multiple
times for the state cross country meet and is a multiple event qualifier at the
state track meet.  She has been part of
three straight state champion 4×800 meter relay team and has set the state
record in that event twice.

 

Earlier
this week we told you that Ledger senior Kelli Schrauth has committed to
playing college basketball at Cardinals Stritch.  The All-State selection told KFIZ that she
feels that Stritch is a great fit for her. 
She says there a great chance for her to come in and earn playing time
right way.

 

St. Mary’s Springs won the Sheboygan Falls Invite at The Bull
on Wednesday.  The Ledgers Brady Sarauer
won the meet with a 75. WLA’s Chris Colla was 2nd at 76.

 

KFIZ heads
out into the Flyway Conference tonight for high school basketball as Winnebago
Lutheran plays host to Lomira.  Our
coverage begins at 4:30pm.  The first
