day NFL Draft gets going tonight with the first round.   The Packers will have the 30th
pick in the 1st round.  Tampa Bay
has the #1 pick, followed by Tennessee and Jacksonville.  In the NFC North, Chicago
picks 7th,  the Vikings 11th,
and Detroit 23rd.

 

Ryan Braun
hit a pair of home runs including a grand slam as the Brewers picked up an 8-2
win over the Reds on Thursday afternoon. 
Adam Lind also went deep for The Crew. 
Matt Garza gave up 2 runs and five hits in six and two-thirds innings of
work to pick up his 2nd win of the season.  The Brewers take today off and then open up a
three game weekend series at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs on Friday
afternoon.  You’ll hear the games on

beat the Chicago White Sox 8-2 on Thursday at Camden Yards with an official
paid attendance of zero.  The game was

Professional
golfer Calvin Peete passed away on Wednesday. 
He was a 12-time winner on the PGA Tour including The Greater Milwaukee
Open in 1979.  Peete blazed a trail for
African-American professional golfers in America.  He was 71.

24 high
school golf boys teams competed at the Ledger-Oriole Invite at Rolling Meadows on Wednesday.  St. Mary’s
Springs won the Division One field. Winnebago Lutheran took the D2 event and
Madison Abundant Life was the Division 3 champ. 
WLA’s Chris Colla was meet medalist with a 70.  St. Mary’s
Springs’ Brady Sarauer had a 72. 


Fond du Lac tied for 10th at the 24 team Brookfield Invite on Wednesday.  Marcus Ruch and Elliot Nilsen led Fondy with 83s.
