Packers Off

The Packers take today off as they get ready for Friday
night’s game with Seattle
at Lambeau.  Mike McCarthy was not happy
with Wednesday’s workout and hasn’t officially said how much the starters will
play.  Usually they play into the 3rd
quarter in the 3rd preseason game. Friday’s game kicks off at 7pm

 

Brewers Fall

The Brewers lost to the Cardinals 8-6 on Wednesday afternoon
at Miller Park
The Cardinals scored 6 runs in the 2nd off of Tom Gorzelanny
and never looked back.  Aramis Ramirez
and Logan Schafer homered in the loss. 
The Brewers open a series in Cincinnati
on Friday night.

 

Brewers Moves

The Brewers send pitcher Donovan Hand and utility man Sean
Halton back to Triple-A Nashville after Wednesday’s game.  Reliever Rod Wooten will come off paternity leave
on Friday and OF Caleb Gindl was called back up to Milwaukee.

 

Badgers Fall

The Badger men’s basketball team lost to Carleton University
95-82 as they began a 5 game barnstorming tour thorough Canada.  Sam Dekker led the way with 28.  Trevon Jackson had 19.

Racine Horlick 2 Fond du Lac 1 – Brock Lisowe
scored Fondy’s goal

 

Girls Tennis

The Fond du Lac girls tennis
team went 2-1 at an Oshkosh
event on Tuesday.  The Cardinals beat Wisconsin Rapids and West
Bend West.  They fell to West Bend East.

 

High School Football

The high school football season begins this weekend across
the state of Wisconsin.
There are a few games tonight in Northeastern Wisconsin
as teams moved their games so they didn’t compete with the Packer game.   Fond
du Lac
will host Appleton North on Friday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ and kfiz.com.  On Saturday night, St. Mary’s Springs hosts Sheboygan Falls. You’ll hear that game on KFIZ and
kfiz.com.  The kickoff both nights is set
for 7pm.
